Unable to backup Exchange Information Store

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have been unable to successfully backup the information store since I installed Acronis 11.5 Advanced server last week.

The log files are attached.

I get three Windows event errors right after the failure, they are event 8193, 22, 12292
(screenshots attached of events)

I am able to back up the mailboxes but of course need the IS backed up as well.

The server is running Server 2008 Windows Small Business Essentials.

The errors all point to VSS. I have gone thru troubleshooting VSS per the Acronis aricle but sill not luck.

Please help!

To provide more information on this - I get the same events in the event log after I run a full file system backup of the server, however it runs successfully.

Thank you for using our forum. I am happy to assist you.

I have taken a look into the application log and found many errors regarding MS SharePoint and an application error in ntdll.exe. As there is no direct error regarding vss reported I may ask you first to fix the massive number of errors and warnings on this machine. I recommend to contact Microsoft Support in order to fix this.

Thanks for responding. I have a slew of VSS errors that occur every time I run Acronis to back up the information store.

I have copied the three errors into an attached notepad file for your review.

Please let me know what I need to do to resolve these issues.

Thank you for the quick reply.

However, you should contact Microsoft Support in order to fix the errors that are on this machine. The errors do not belong to the Acronis operations, but this operation brings the existing problems into its logs. As long the issues on this system are not fixed the backup operation will fail with these messages.
