Acronis Backup Size Full and Incremental (doesn't make sense)

Thread needs solution

We have created a backup plan which takes full backup on Thursday and incremental backup on other days.

We think that daily incremental backup sizes do not make sense in relation to first full backup size  taken:

Saturday, March 31, 2018 morning Full Backup Size 559 GB (1st full backup was done manually)

Saturday, March 31, 2018 night Incremental Backup Size 372 GB

Sunday, April 1, 2018 Full Backup Size 503 GB

We have not installed anything on the server nor entered/saved any significant data/files.

So how come incremental size is as good as full backup size?

Hi Talal,

Sorry for the delay with the response. In order to understand where the problem could be first of all we'll need to check the full log file from incremental backup activity - it would show how much data was considered as changed one. Another thing to confirm is where you check the size of the backups? Do you see the actual backup file size increase or do you see it only in Acronis Backup interface (there could be cases related to GUI glitches where size is not shown properly).

Thank you.
