Backup to tape not responding and cannot be cancelled.

Thread needs solution

I've opened a ticket 03044903 with acronis support but so far no answer. Every time i get in touch the answer is always the same. "we'll get in touch on the next day" but they never do!

We have backup to HDD which work fine and backups to tape that never work. I always get the "backup is not responding"  and cancel button does not work either!,

The LOG does not say much. When a backup is stuck i try cancelling, restarting all services but the only thing that works is restarting the server and sometimes more than once!!

I've replaced the server's names with ??? on below log.

Since Acronis support seem to not be able to help (or don't want to). Can somebody help me here? I've been facing this issue for more than a month.

Hello, try to change backup formt in the Backup Plan settings - to Version 11.

Hi Andrey, changing to Version 11 (i had to create a new plan for that) made it not hang, but now I get an error while backing up one of the computers.

This is a file server/Domain controller with Windows 2012 R2 with deduplication enabled on D: disk

Any thoghts?

Hi, its hard to understand what happened not having access to enironment or/and System information. Please contact Acronis support for deep investigation.
