does someone use "tape eject" on a normal backup task?

It seems that the eject option does the eject already after the first VM when backing up multiple VMs...

another bug I guess...

I am trying to use it but I receive an error.  Credentials not supplied.

Have not been able to get a resolution from support yet.

I am having similar issues after moving from 11.7 to 12.5. Tape backups fail for various reasons and it appears that the tape backup jobs only have the option to eject after each VM rather than after each job/plan. I don't know why you would want to connect a VM to a whole tape when for most businesses they have multiple VM's and would like to fit them onto a single tape depending on the storage requirements.

Hello Everyone,

Currently the tape ejection option is designed in such a way that it ejects tapes after each backup job, even if the backup jobs are part of a plan the tapes will be ejected after each job in the plan. This behavior is planned to be changed in the future product versions, so that we can eject a tape after backup of several machines.

Ugh...

Maybe you can also add the ability to auto-inventory before a backup as well (i.e. in this version and not the 'next' product)

Thank you all for the feedback! We're working on adding Inventory by schedule, that can be initiated without user-interaction.
