2009 Recovery Manager - start at 800x600@60 ?

Thread needs solution

We're running Acronis Home 2009 on a kiosk-like system that has a monitor with max res/refresh limited to 800x600@60.

When running os/ (Win XP64) all is good.

When we boot into the Recovery Manager we get no display ("Out Of Range") because it appears Recovery Manager is driving monitor beyond 800x600@60.

Is there any way to get Recovery Manager to start in 800x600@60 or lower to make it usable for us?

Thanks, Karl

Hello Karl!

Thank you for taking your time to report about the issue.

In order to resolve the issue, please, kindly try the following:

   1. When booted from media created with Acronis Media Builder, on the selection screen hit F11 and in the command-line window enter the following:

vga=ask

When booted from a media downloaded from your account or provided by Acronis Customer Central enter the following at the 'boot:' prompt:

kernel.dat initrd=ramdisk.dat vga=ask

   2. This will give a list of all available graphic modes (see screenshot attached)
   3. Type in the one that suits best and hit Enter.
   4. After you boot into the '#' prompt please issue /bin/product command to start the GUI.

I would appreciate if you could keep us updated regarding the case, so that we could be able to assist you further should the issue persist.

Thank you!
