ABR 10 Slow Recover From Boot CD

Hello,

I do backup with ABR10 of one of my server and it works fine, the backup time is 1h40.

I recovered this server using universal restore to another physical server with the CD (done with acronis media builder) and it takes 17h to complete ... It's very slow, the transert rate is about 6 MB/s.

I tried to do the recover from gigabit lan unmanaged storage but i also tried to copy the .TIB to a local disk of my recover server but the tranfert rate is always the same.

The destination server is a DELL PowerEdge 2850 with a PERC 4e/DC controller, so it should be fast.

Anyone experienced this ?

First thing that comes to mind is that drivers for this controller included in the bootable media limit its performance. If the server performs normally under Windows after restore, i.e. it's not a hardware problem, you may try to use WinPE-based bootable media with appropriate drivers include (they may be not included by default). Or check ABR11 bootable media where drivers may be better.

Hi,

In fact yes the server performs normaly under Windows, so i can be an Acronis boot cd driver problem. I already tried the ABR 11 boot cd but it's the same poor transfert rate (6 MB/s).

I will try Acronis WinPE boot CD adding the PERC 4e/DC drivers.
