ABR 10: Task Progress Stopped working

Thread needs solution

We've been using ABR 10 for a few years now and overall it's worked fine. This week I made some changes to our backup schedule and now the task progress has stopped working, the actual backups seem to be running though. I get emails when the backups complete and can see the backups in the vault. What happens in the GUI is the backup looks like it starts and immediately stops and the particular task stays in the Idle state (see attached screenshot). Checking the log shows progress and state changes and snapshots are created/removed on my virtual environment.

I've done the following to try and remedy this situation:

-restarted the machine ABR 10 is installed on
-restarted the ESX appliance on my virtual environment
-upgraded to the latest build of ABR 10
-upgraded the ESX appliance on my virtual environment to the latest build
-recreated all the tasks

The only other think I can think to try is to completely uninstall ABR 10 and then reinstall it. Before I do that though I was hoping someone else may have some suggestions.

Like I said the actual backup seem to be working fine but not being able to see the status is troubling, it makes me concerned that this could be part of a bigger issue with my installation. That and without the software seeing a running task the only way to cancel a back up is to stop the services or stop the ESX appliance on my virtual environment.
