ABR10 - 2nd GPT Harddisk from a WXP Hyper-V Guest doesnt backup correctly
Hi
I installed on a Windows 2008R2 SP1 Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server - Virtual Edition Update 3.
On the same Server I have several Hyper-V Guest's with Windows XP SP3 and each have 2 virtual dynamic Discs. But the 2nd Harddisk doesnt backup!
I can not backup the 2nd Harddisk. When I create a Backup-Plan in ABR10 and as source i choose "Volume of whole Virtual Machine" it shows for the "Elements for Backup" both Disks. The first Disk everything is fine. But the second Harddisk is listed with no Filesystem (see Attached File "Print1.jpg").
Volume: Festplatte 1: NTFS (C:)
Type: Pri, Akt
Capacity: 99.98GB
Free Space: 92.64GB
Filesystem: NTFS
Volume: Dynamic and GPT (or German "Dynamisch und GPT"): ohne (D:)
Type: Pri
Capacity: 99.99GB
Free Space: 0 Bytes
Filesystem: no (or German "Keines")
Thats why i think something is wrong with the second Disk. But on the GuestSystem everything is fine and works with no failures. In Fact I create a Backup with the SourceType for a whole virtual machine. And when I tried to restore a Machine I see in the Restoretask under Data at first, just Volume, Disk or Files. No Whole Virtual Machine. Second when I select "Volumes", then I have the same informations like describte above for the second Disk.
Now, I didnt execute the Job just to see what happens. But I would like to know, how can I backup a GPT Disk and it shows me the correct information about the disk. Also to mount a Backup shows me the Error, that the Disk is not formatted, what is not true.
In the GuestSystem the Disk have following attributes (see Attached File "Print2.jpg"):
Harddsik 0 (System-Partition):
Letter = C
Layout = Partition
Type = Base (or Basic or in German "Basis")
Filesystem = NTFS
Size = 100GB
Harddsik 1:
Letter = E
Layout = easy (or in German "Einfach")
Type = Dynamic (or in German "Dynamisch")
Filesystem = NTFS
Size =100GB
On the Host-System I installed the ABR10 Agent for Hyper-V and the ABR10 Agent. In the documentaion its written, that no Agent on the Guest-System is needet for Hyper-V Guests.
During the Backup the Guest-Systems are running.
Can you tell me, do I something wrong (and how should I do correct) or hase the ABR10 a Bug?
Thanks for a fast reply!
