This restore is doing from bootable cd.
I tried make a backup again - is this same situation - I don't see universal restorer options.

This backup is doing on Windows 7. The sourde disk is connected to computer by USB (because source computer is not working)There was Windows XP. Restore is from bootable cd on destination machine.

Hello Grzegorz,

Thank you for your message and welcome to our forum. I will do my best to help you.

There are several reasons why Acronis Universal Restore is not prompted in your images sometimes:

- There is no operating system in the backup or the operating system is not supported;
- The operating system is not detected;
- The files system on the source disk is corrupted;
- Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Does Not Prompt Acronis Universal Restore if You Select "Disks" to Recover
- The ARC path in boot.ini starts with scsi instead of multi:
scsi(X)disk(Y)rdisk(Z)partition(W)\[winnt_dir]

I would recommend to take a look at this article from our Knowledge Base and if it does not help, please collect an Acronis report from your source machine and contact our Support team for additional investigation.

Please let me know if you need additional help.

Thank you.
