ABR10 not supported to use Linux-based NAS

Working through support with Acronis, I'm being told there is no support in ABR10 (up to current version) for backing up to a Linux-based NAS.

........i mean, seriously? Is anyone else getting this? How is this even possible...i'm blown away.

Thank you for finding time to open the thread regarding this issue.

Actually that depends on the operation you would like to proceed with NAS. Should you decide to install our software on it - most probably it will not work since our products support only certain OSes for installation.

Should you desire to save your backups to NAS - there should be no issues, and every problem with it will be investigated with most accurate attention.

I would appreciate if you could specify me the details of the issue you've faced - I'll do my best to help you. Be sure I will forward the information about the support session to the Management team as well. They will find the case you've opened and make sure that this inconvenience won't happen again.
