Hello,

We're running the following components on SBS 2008 Premium:

Acronis True Image SBS
Acronis Recovery for MS SQL
Acronis Recovery for MS Exchange

SQL db is about 118gb
Exchange 40gb
Other data 500gb

Basically I'm looking for best practices for the above config all on one server which is a new server.
Are there any limitations or restrictions on how these backups should be run or what order, exclusions, timing, etc.

Thank you for finding time to open a thread regarding this question, I will be glad to help you!

There are not limitations or restrictions on how these backups should be run, so its up to you to decide what order, exclusions and timing will be the best. The only thing that should be kept in mind is that in case you schedule the tasks to run simultaneuosly, or in a period when the first backup is still running, they will be queued as the same scheduler modules are used for task execution.

So feel free to use any order and time to set the backups. Just remember that the second task will not start while the first one is running, and don't forget to enable VSS when running the full backup on the machine with the database. (Chapter 6.3.4 in the User's Guide).
