Acronis Backup & Recovery 10: Restore or Vaildation Fails with 0x00A10007

Thread needs solution

I tried the validation method given in the knowledge base, for this error, to no avail.

What happened is that I copied my image files off to a server, reformatted my usb drive, and then copied those image files back on. I made sure I had the metafiles, and did what I could to keep the folder structure the same. So far, I have been unable to use those images.

In the log, it says my archive doesn't have data for validation, or, in other cases, "failed to open the archive by ID".

I would recommend to update your Acronis software to the latest build and if it does not help, please contact our Support team with this report for a proper investigation.

The reason for asking you to update to the latest build is because new issues need to be investigated with the most current version of our software.

We have a similar error message during backup and validation but I am afraid it does not apply in this situation.
