Acronis Takes up alot of system resources and won't restore files
I have installed Acronis Backup and Recovery Server on the Windows 2003 Standard Server here at work. It is a DC and we use Active Directory. I am able to get the system to perform backup's okay but I am having a problem restoring files. I have only been able to restore one file successfully. Every time I try to restore multiple files the server slows way down and eventually it will either time out or just sit there forever. The one time it timed out it stated that it could not connect to the process. I have let it sit for three hours before and the progress bar does nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to optimize something? I really want to purchase this program for our company ( I LOVE the email notifications...) but need to ensure that this will work properly. Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the error message I received last night
Failed to connect to the process. Additional info: -------------------- Error code: 11 Module: 300 LineInfo: 2a463402369021a2 Fields: $module : C:\Program Files\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\mms.exe Message: Failed to connect to the process. -------------------- Error code: 12 Module: 300 LineInfo: 2a463402369021a3 Fields: Message: The operation has timed out. --------------------
I store the backup on a 1tb raid NAS drive.
I am creating the Acronis information now and will post that as soon as it finishes.

Hi George!
Thank you for keeping us posted!
I've done some digging on Forum, and in the Development notes. First of all, please check for the services to be started from the account that has sufficient administrator's privileges, and which is added to the administrators, and backup operators groups.
If the problem remains, please zip and send me the following information via PM:
- Event logs
- Agent, ASN and AMD Logs from folders listed here
This data might give us more information on the issue.
Thank you for cooperation!
