ASUS F5R Notebook universal restore fail

Thread needs solution

Hi forum
Recently I had a problem with F5R notebook and Acronis Universal Restore.
When UR finishes recovering, and start searching for drivers, it displays that driver for device "pci ven_1002_4380&SUBSYS_14171043&REV_00" is missing and asks me to put driver on removable storage, if I ignore it and try to boot BSOD appears. I installed XP pro/ sp3 with no problem, so I guess that no special driver is needed for this notebook.
Also I backed up drivers from XP installation and added them in UR driver search, but still no luck...
Also UR didn't find driver in my driver compilation folder.

Hello RitterDevil!

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue on Forum, and for the information provided. I understand your concern, and will be glad to help you!

According to the PCI ID specified it looks like Acronis Universal Restore cannot find drivers for SATA Controller, which is critical for the restored system booting up.

In order to obtain correct drivers, please contact the vendor of your chipset and other dissimilar mass storage device hardware (motherboard, RAID controller, etc). Unpack the received drivers  to be in *.inf and *.oem format, place them into one folder and specify the path to it during the process of recovery.

I would also advise you to take a look at Acronis Universal Restore instructions with the step-by-step screenshots - you may find this information useful.

In case the issue persists, please kindly contact our Support Department with the step-by-step description of the problem - they will be glad to help you.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Thank you for your answer...

I found a way to fix this by finding a drivers pack (I wont post a link cos I dont know what are yours link posting policies). There is a driver pack with most of drivers for hardware and it is correctly mapped in one txt file, so you can easily find missing driver by vendor and device number.

Best regards.
