Backup Plan Corrupts on "Upgrade" from ABR10 to ABR11 Workstation

Thread needs solution

Seen on three separate upgrades so far:

The upgrade seems to proceed without errors, and ABR 11 loads and it's possible to move around in the interface. The ABR 10 backup plans seem to have been converted to ABR 11. But they either don't run on schedule, or cause chaos when run manually.

A telltale symptom is this: If you select a plan, and click "Disable", you should see the "Disable" button go grey and the "Enable" button ungrey, and the selected plan should go grey, indicating that it's disabled.

If all you get is an unreadable flash of a dialog box, and the state of the "Disable" button does not change, then the plan is likely corrupt.

Possible Fix (may or may not work for you): Clone the plan, then delete the original plan. Edit the cloned version, carefully checking all the settings; some may have been changed or removed. Rename it to the old name and save. Test to see if "Disable/Enable" now work properly.

Acronis, how difficult could it have been to write a procedure to check the integrity of the plan, to run as part of the conversion process? Why does the TCO of installing this product and getting it to work have to exceed the licensing cost by a substantial multiple?
