Backup stop working after 2 or 3 sucessfull backups

Hi,

I have Acronis backup and recovery 10 - virtual edition working for some time, but in the last months i'm having some problems with the backups.

if the physical machine is restarted i can do backups of 2 or 3 virtual machines but after them all backups fail. i've tried different VM's, same VM's, restarting Acronis services, deleting old and creating new backups and it won't work.

If i reboot the server, then again, i can make 2 or 3 backups with success and it start to fails again.

I already reinstalled Acronis, but the problem continues to exist. Im running the build 10.0.13762.

thank you for posting.

According to the error message, the VSS snapshot fails upon the VM backup and you have to check, that the VSS service as well as the Microsoft Hyper-V VSS writer work stably. Use the diskshadow tool to check the writer, as proposed in step 1.1 of this KB article.

Should you encounter some issues with VSS service, follow instructions in this KB article to troubleshoot them.

If issue cannot be resolved or is not clear, attach the vssadmin log and SnapAPI log as described in the VSS troubleshooting guide, step 3.1.

Thanks for your help.

The first time I tried diskshadow (more in a mode of discovery) I managed to follow the troubleshooting guide, but didnt take notes of what happened (i don't remember that i had found errors though). Now that i was about to use it in a "real mode", i'm getting this error:

"The provider does not support volume shadow copies for this volume in this context.
You must either change the context or add a different volume.
Note that changing the context might cause existing volumes in the shadow copy set to become unsupported."

i'l attach the vss files generated, maybe theres the error and hopefully, the solution.

Also, i'd like to know if the upgrade to the newest version of Acronis might solve this error. Neverthless, i'd like to know prices to a upgrade of the version. Where can i find it?
