Best settings using 3 external HDs

Thread needs solution

Hi, New to Acronis and automated backups in general. I'm interested to see what would be the ideal solution / settings for using three hard drives for doing system backups. I'm wanting to do an offsite move of the last month's data on the first Tuesday of every month and incremental backups three or four times a day starting at 9am and ending at 9pm. May 3rd I want to move the current april backup drive to an offisite location.

Amount of data: ~700gb-800gb after incrementals
Storage: 3 - 2gb external drives

I'm thinking I need to set up 3 different jobs and have the months tied to the specific drives. So BU1 would be a jan, april, july, oct backup and be mounted at X:\. BU2 would be feb, may, aug,Nov and be mounted at Y:\ and so on for BU3. The tricky part is configuring the incremental schedule but already figured out how that would be done through a couple of separate incremental schedules.

I'm wondering and I would rather find out through community knowledge than lengthy trial and error is would I be better off doing the above or it all being the same backup job and just being religious about making sure to swap out the drives on the second tuesday of every month. If I'm correct I could have all three drives mount to the same drive letter.

However by separating into three jobs if something happens on tuesday and I can't make the switch then the backup just wouldn't happen until the drive came online correct? Thus not possibly forcing a delete of the last backup if I have it set up all as one job.

Lastly how should the retention policies be setup. I'm fine with only having a full 2 months of data (the two offsite drives) plus the current month but if the disk space permits it would be nice to have more.

Thanks in advance!
