Boot CD not working (Backup & Recovery 10)

Thread needs solution

Hello, I recently purchased Backup and Recovery 10 and I am unable to get the boot CD to work.  I made the CD through the Backup and Recovery software, and I downloaded the .iso image from my account and made another CD which also didn't work.

Basically I booted from the first CD, it let me choose either launch Acronis or Windows.  I click Acronis, it shows a splash screen, then goes to the black screen with the logo in the top left.  After it reaches this screen, the drive stops spinning and it stays there forever.  I have tried making 2 boot CDs through the software, on different machines with different copies of Acronis installed, and both do the same thing.  (I have 2 licenses for B&R).

My next move was to download the .iso file from my account and burn the CD that way.  I did this and the splash screen with the number choices comes up, it loads a few .bat files, then the black screen with logo in the top left comes up, and then the drive stops spinning and it hangs.

I have tried both boot CDs in separate machines, namely an HP 8730w and HP 8530w.  What do I need to do in order to boot from a CD?

Are you using the latest build of B&R 10 (11,105)?

Have you tried booting from a flashdrive instead of a CD? This can make a difference on some systems.

Have you tried the quiet acpi=off noapic option detailed in Section II of the Read Before You Post thread?

Have you tried the different options available with the downloaded ISO version?

Have you tried the WinPE version?

It's possible that the drivers needed are not included or the kernel is having problems with the hardware. You may need to submit the information to Acronis support and request a custom build.

Thanks for the suggestions, I tried booting the CD with the no acpi method and it worked :)

Thanks again for the help!
