B&R 10.0.545 Recovery of Windows 2008 R2 W/reserved system partition Failed
Trying to recover a Windows 2008 R2 with Windows reserved system partition ( 200 Mb ).
Both "partition" seem to be recovered without any trouble but the "reserved system partition" is now using the "C:\" letter and the boot partition (which contains the ..\Windows directory) is using the "D:\" letter. The result is a system which refuse to boot.
I have tried diskpart in a way to rearrange the letter assignation without any success. The data is available on the second partition but the system will not boot at all.
I have tried to recover one partition at a time with the same result.
Acronis B&R is supposed to "support" Windows 2008 R2 so what's wrong ???
The only way I could see to workaround this is to start a new Windows 2008 installation to create the reserved system partition, quit the installation, boot with an Acronis CD and Restore on the second partition ... I'm losing patience ! Acronis was so great with 2003 ... Why is it so complicated to recover a 2008 R2 with this reserved system partition ?
Any help or guidelines would be appreciated.
Thank's
Luc
