B&R10 Virtual Edition: Slow Backup with Hyper-V SCSI Harddisks ...

Thread needs solution

Hi,

currently we test B&R10 Virtual Edition on a Windows 2008 Hyper-V Host. But there is one big problem: If we try to backup a 1TB virtual harddisk which is connected via SCSI, it is very, very slow (<5MB/sec), all other IDE-connected harddisks are ok with >35MB/sec.
The SCSI-based .vhd-files are stored on a EMC SAN System and very fast if we access them via Hyper-V Guest (SBS2003). But if we try to backup them the backup tasks takes much time (20 hours and more for one harddisk)

Any tip or idea to resolve this issue?

Many thanks
Erik

  1. Virtual machine the HDD is attached to
  2. Host machine
