DR Scenario

Thread needs solution

If I have a ABR server at our HQ which backs up servers and stores it on our HQ SAN

The SAN is replicated to our DR site

Can I install a ABR server at our DR and perform a restore with the backup file that was replicated over to our DR san?

And would I be able to take that backup file at DR and turn it into a VM?

The DR site is completely isolated network from our HQ network

Thanks

It is possible, but exact actions depends on how exacly backup are stored on "HQ SAN". If it's a personal or centralized unmanaged vault, you just point to the .tib files on the replicated valut during 'data for recover' selection in recover dialog and proceed. If it's a managed vault with deduplication, you need to set up a storage node and attach this vault to it in order to do anything useful with it.
