Error: 06442537 when installing Agent for Hyper-V

Hello

I have installed Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 with all the components but the Agent for Hyper-V because of this error i am getting.

I have 3 Hyper-V virtual machines so i need the Agent for Hyper-V to be installed, but when I go to install this by clicking the modify button on the Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 installer and pick Agent for Hyper-V i get this errors:

Just a guess - do you have a Virtual Edition key on the license server?

Hello

Thanks for taking the time to have a look at our Log file and error.

I only have a "Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Server" license as i was told it has 4 virtual edition licenses so the Hyper-V agent will work.

???

*Edit* http://www.acronis.co.uk/backup-recovery/#agent-for-hyper-vdo i need a Virtual Edition license to run Agent for Hyper-V is this why I am getting this error?

Yes, you need Virtual Edition for "Agent for Hyper-V". Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Server license will allow you to install up to 4 agents into the vitual machinves, but not agentless backup with Agent for Hyper-V.

I downlaoded the Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Virtual Edition trial and used the key on my installation of Acronis, and it all worked with no errors!! Now the Agent for Hyper-V is working.

I have sent the Advanced Server license key back and now have the Virtual Edition license key coming, so all is good.
