Event ID 7035 and 7036 in Windows System Event Log

Thread needs solution

On multiple Windows 2003 R2 SP2 servers with Acronis B&R 10 Server installed, every 3 to 4 minutes the following entries are being posted to the Windows System Event Logs:

Event ID 7035, Service Control Manager: The Volume Shadow Copy service was successfully sent a start control.
Event ID 7036, Service Control Manager: The Volume Shadow Copy service entered the running state.
Event ID 7035, Service Control Manager: The Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider service was successfully sent a start control.
Event ID 7036, Service Control Manager: The Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider service entered the running state.
Event ID 7035, Service Control Manager: The Acronis VSS Provider service was successfully sent a start control.
Event ID 7036, Service Control Manager: The Acronis VSS Provider service entered the running state.

Backups are only scheduled to run every week or two (depending on the server). I see no options which might indicate any sort of 3 to 4 minute schedule. This is just a bunch of clutter. Any ideas?

3-4 minutes is a rather short time to check if others can be blamed. If you stop all Acronis services (first Managed Machine Service, then agent and scheduler)

I disabled those three services, and the issue still exists. Great...time to find another scapegoat!
