Full backups marked for deletion on GFS scheme

Thread needs solution

Why is it, many of my Vaults on the storage node have FULL backups marked for deletion when I specifically said to keep Monthly (full backups) INDEFINITELY!!

See attached images.

This isn't happening on all backups, but some vaults are definitely displaying this.

ok, someone has to have an answer for this! I can't be the only person that is getting this. WHY are full backups being marked for deletion when I SPECIFICALLY say "KEEP FULL BACKUPS INDEFINITELY" in the GFS backup scheme?

If I have to go back a year on a backup, I NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT! I can't have backups suddenly vanishing.

I should add that this is for VM Backups going through the Acronis ESX Appliances. if I backup a VM with an Agent, I don't have this problem.

What version & build are you using?

I've been seeing this on earlier betas - the current one (17437) looks better - though I don't keep the fulls indefinitely.

correction: no, the current beta (17437) marks random backups for deletion.

I did but no answer as of yet and it's frustrating the hell out of me. I put up an AcronisInfo log of my storage node, and exported several backup jobs and uploaded them for review as well as screenshots. This was a problem back when I tried 17318 and it seems to be a crucial bug IMHO. I don't know if it's just with the GFS scheme, my vaults, or what.

I do know that if I used an agent on the VM to do the backup, I didn't have this problem, regardless of going to a storage node or if I used GFS backup. So this seems to be a major BUG!

Carl: Did support resolve your issue? I am seeing exactly the same problem as this, GFS backup job is set to keep monthly backups indefinitely although they are being marked for deletion. I am also using the Acronis ESX Appliance.
