Getting back to Windows 7 from Ubuntu (linux) install - brain fade

Thread needs solution

Equipment: 2 Acer Aspire 1810T laptops, Windows 7 (64) Home edition operating systems, bought this week
Situation: Second is original (still in box), 1st I installed Ubuntu and made the mistake of checking, "use whole disk" when installing. Result: wiped all partitions associated w/Windows 7. Now 1st runs Ubuntu alright, but I want to get back to its original state. Can't use factory images which were made before Ubuntu install because need Windows 7 partitions to proceed.
My thinking (please comment where needed).
1. On 2nd (original, still in box), install Acronis Home 2010 - (this is latest version I believe).
2. Take image of entire hard drive of 2nd on DVDs with my external optical drive.
3. Connect optical drive to 1st computer via USB port.
4. Put image DVDs of 2nd into optical drive.
5. Now my questions, will 1st computer boot off the image DVDs? (I know how to go into the BIOS of the 1st computer and instruct it to look at the external optical drive before the hard drive during boot up.)
6. Second question, will Acronis give me an option after booting up to completely overwrite the hard drive of the 1st computer with the image of the 2nd computer, thus esentailly returning the 1st computer back to its original, factory state??
TIA for any comments and opinions.
