How does the Acronis Management Server identify and keep track of the client?
Thread needs solution
Basically, in an open network with DHCP, client IP will change from time to time. The machines are not part of a single domain. Would this scenario work correctly?
Does the Acronis Management server keep track of the client by name, by IP address, MAC address, or some other identifier?
Thanks!

Thanks for your reply, it is good to know that the machine is identified by multiple methods. A followup question then. If a machine gets a new IP address, how does the AMS locate it? Since at the time, the IP address in the file that AMS looks at is the old address? Does the machine have to be readded to AMS using the new IP address? Or does this somehow happen automatically with the client notifying AMS of the new IP?
Thanks!
