libpam.so.0 is not installed

Thread needs solution

I am trying to install the agent onto a non-rpm based Linux box. During install I get the above error and the installation exits. I was wondering if there was a environment variable or something that can be set to tell the installer where to look for libraries because I do have /lib/libpam.so.0 and it is still not finding it.

I was also wondering if there was a switch or something you could use that wasn't in --help that would have it go out and try to locate all of the libraries it needed and give back a list so you can see what it isn't finding all at one time.

Hello Nathan,

Welcome to our forum and thank you for posting. I will definitely assist you.

Due to lack of diagnostic information I cannot be 100% certain, but most probably you have 64-bit distribution installed and there are no 32-bit libraries installed on your system. Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 is a 32-bit application and requires 32-bit libraries to be installed. I would recommend you to check whether you have 32-bit libsepol, libselinux and pam packages installed.  If you have them installed but you are still having issues, please collect this report and contact our Support team, I am confident that we can get this resolved.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
