Dear experts
Pleass help.
After corrupting the partition I tried for the first time to restore the harddisk with Acronis 10 from an earlier backup. Unfortunately, the Cd was not able to load, message: Loading, please wait ... - and hang up.
My notebook is a Gericom, Phantom Design +. It seems that Acronis is not able to read/work with the corresponding USB, where the backup is stored.
Attached you can see the screenshot I have captured with my digital camera according to your recommendation.
Thanks for your support
BR
Chris

Hello Chris,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]
I am sending a link to you via PMs to create another Acronis Bootable Rescue Media based on ISOLINUX. Please create a new CD and see if the issue remains.
Thank you.

Oleg,
I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. I have an HP Elitebook 6930P and the recovery
CD does not pass the same point. I did have around some recovery CDs from workstations 9.0
and it actually reported a kernel panic when it was booting (linux) from the recovery CD.
Any ideas?
George

Hello all,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]
Christian,
Acronis report is also unable to detect the USB drive. Something is wrong. Could you please do the following?
- If you use an USB hub, please plug the USB HD directly and boot from Acronis Bootable Rescue Media;
- Try to connect the hard drive to another USB port and boot from Acronis Bootable Rescue Media;
- Please unlpug the USB hard drive and boot from Acronis Bootable Rescue Media.
Please try the both CDs you have for now. Let me know the results.
George,
The Kernel panic error message might arise due to the bootable rescue media being corrupt. Please create a new CD if it is possible and see if the issue remains. You can also send me via Private Messages your serial number or the account on our web site under which you have registered the licenses (I don't see any licenses under the account you used to log in to this forum), after that I will send an ISO file to create another Acronis Bootable Rescue Media based on ISOLINUX.
Thank you.

Hello Christian,
Thank you for your response.
Since the investigation of the issue requires a lot of time, and the main purpose for now is to recover the archive, we can create and use BartPE disk. I am sending the necessary information to you via PMs.
Thank you.

BartPE disk did work.
After so much effort I am finally happy.
Thx and Br

I have an HP Elitebook 6930p and I purchased the 2010 version. I installed, activated and registered my software. I created a bootable CD so I can image my laptop and it stops on the "loading, please wait.
I tried creating a new CD and it still does the same thing.
Help!!

found a solution that worked for the Elitebook 6930p:
Please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc (the full version) and press F11 key when the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears. After you get the "Linux kernel command line" prompt, please modify it in the following way:
quiet acpi=off noapic

SIMILAR PROBLEM - HELP NEEDED!!!
I have a similar problem with Acronis® Bootable Medium (DVD-R), but only on one out of several computers which I administer at home: the one with RAID Intel® Matrix Storage Manager Driver version 8.9.0.1023 for Intel Desktop Boards.
The motherboard is DQ965GFEKR, version AA D41676-305. System BIOS is: Intel Corp. CO96510J.86A.6088.2008.1201.0056 12/01/2008.
On other computers the same Acronis® Bootable Medium (DVD-R) works perfectly: it boots those machines and performs all its functions impeccably.
I used my registered Acronis® True Image 11 Home to make this Bootable Medium (DVD-R).
On the RAID machine this Bootable Medium boots the system and presents the options screen:
- SafeMedia Add-on for Acronis True Image 11 Home
- Acronis True Image Home (Full version)
- Acronis Drive Cleanser
- Windows
When I chose the first or the second one, it presents the logo screen (Acronis True Image Home www.acronis.com) and then the screen goes dark (i.e. becomes black), indefinitely. The system does not respond to ESC, Ctrl-Break, Ctrl-C, or Ctrl-Alt-Del. The only way for me to regain the control is to press the hardware reset button. Then, after several seconds, the computer shuts down, and then, after several more seconds, restarts.
So, it even does not arrive to this message “Loading, please wait ... ” in the upper left corner of the screen.
Please help me if you can.

Hi Acronis Support,
I bought new laptop HP6930P and try to boot from acronis bbotable CD, it says "Loading Please wait...." but the bootable CD works well with all other model notebooks and desktops.
Please help.

Sorry, Oleg:
my problem is gone, on its own, maybe a clashing mouse driver was causing it. Now my Acronis® Bootable Medium works seamlessly, both as a USB flash memory key and a DVD-R.
The only thing is that I must choose first option, "SafeMedia Add-on for Acronis True Image 11 Home", and not the second, "Acronis True Image Home (Full version)". If I select the second, the previous symptom (an infinite black screen) reappears after the logo screen and I must do hard reset, to regain control of my RAID-based computer.

I have a problem with my AcronisTtrue Image 11 recovery disc detecting my hard drives.
One has an active primary partion and a second partion, the other a healthy primary
partion. Only my USB hard drive containing the TIB files is detected, so so how can I
effect a recovery? Anybody with any ideas?

Hello all,
Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.
I would like to share the steps you can perform to troubleshoot the issues with Acronis Bootable Media.
1) Please make sure that you are using the latest build of the program. You can find out the build number by selecting "Help" option, "About". If you use Acronis True Image Home 2009 or Acronis True Image Home 2010, you can check it navigating mouse cursor to upper line of the program then press ALT + left mouse button -> Help -> About.
The list of the latest builds is available here. You can learn more on how to download the latest build here.
Install the latest build, recreate Acronis Bootable Media and see if the issue remains.
2) If this doesn't help, please try the "acpi=off noapic" parameter (the workaround mentioned by Anna).
- Acronis Bootable Media that you can generate in your Acronis product. This type of media is based on Acronis Loader;
- Acronis Bootable Media that you can download from your account on the Acronis website. This type of media is based on ISOLINUX.
1. Boots into Acronis True Image directly without any additional parameters. This is the default parameter that boots in 10 seconds.
2. Boots into the # prompt without any additional parameters. Generally required when you need to either boot into the # prompt or collect Acronis Linux Report with special conditions. Can be ignored without additional request from Acronis support.
3. Boots into Acronis True Image program directly with the acpi=off noapic parameters. It can be useful on some hardware when Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue Media hangs during boot process.
4. Boots into the # prompt with the acpi=off noapic parameters. Usually it is required for gathering some diagnostic information.
5. Boots into Acronis True Image directly with USB, fireware and Yenta CardBus controller disabled. Can be useful on some hardware.
6. Boots into the # prompt with USB, fireware and Yenta CardBus controller disabled. Usually it is required for gathering some diagnostic information. Can be ignored without additional request from Acronis support.
7. Boots into Acronis True Image directly with vesa disabled. It can be used when a customer experience some issues with graphics or sees a black screen after booting without 'quiet'..
8. Boots into the # prompt with vesa disabled. Can be ignored without additional request from Acronis support.
0. FOR ABR ONLY: allows you to collect sysinfo output to USB flash.
You can find the information on how to download the appropriate ISOLINUX file in this article. Please see this article on how to burn an ISO file to a CD disk.
If you would like to purchase the upgrade to Acronis True Image Home 2010, please visit the Acronis online store.
Srecko,
If you want to use the full version of the program, please send me a Private Message.
Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.
Thank you.
