I have a WIN2008R2 Server with Acronis Backup & Recovery 10Server for Windows Built 10.0.12705
Every Time i become the error
I look at the FAQ an i find i need a update but the 10.0.12705 ist the newest one.

Error "Öffnen des Verzeichnisses der Metadaten fehlgeschlagen." usually appears when Acronis Managed Machine Service is running under Local System account. Please check this possibility, and in case it's so, change the account under which MMS runs as specified here.

Hi Gerd,

are you tying to write your backup on an network share on your NAS?

I just had the same problem writing on a network share redirekted to my Windows 2008 server.

I solved the issue by using an UNC path in my backup job discription instead of the redirected drive letter.
