Non Stop Backup each 5 minutes creates a massive number of files

Thread needs solution

Non Stop Backup each 5 minutes creates a massive number of files.
Is there a way of limiting or veting the number of files. ie. can you delete files automatically after they are say 1 week old and a leter version exists.
Some of my engineering files are over 100mg and it quickly consumes storage space. I have 64 versions of one model file after only a few days.

I have a 5 minute backup of only the Documents & Settings.

I selected the C: drive but excluded all folders except Documents & Settings.

Non-Stop takes a full backup before it starts the 5 min updates, so you must do the exclusion BEFORE hitting GO. This way it only does a full backup of Documents & Settings only.

So, yes, you can restrict the size. If you already have a full backup of the entire disk (I have been through this loop already) then you probably need to delete from within TI (although I actually deleted in Windows Explorer). You might need to run CHKDSK on your backup drive before you can start again ...

Needless to say, you can restrict to whatever folder(s) you want ......

Hope this helps.
