Hi

i am writing my backups to my DLink NAS-323 drive with RAID1

the backups are all okay and i can restore from them but it won't let me mount the archive as a image it says i can't mount from a shared folder

why would a shared folder prevent me from doing this? in theory to back-up to anywhere off the local machine it has to be a shared folder

can anyone help with this?

Anthony,

What product and build are you using?  I had this problem with the initial release of BNR 10 Workstation but according to this kb article it should be fixed in the latest build (11105).  I haven't had the chance to try it since I updated my build.

I tested mounting an image on a share and it seems to resolved in the latest build.  So, if you haven't updated your build give it a try.
