Problem with Promise FastTrak TX4650 and GPT Partition
Hello,
I'm testing ABR10 (last version Build 12708) and I've got a problem with my Promise FastTrak TX4650 using RAID5 array (4X2TB drives). I created a 6TB GPT partition. Everything is fine in Windows Disk Management Console (see "windskmgmt.jpg" attached) but volume is not recognized by Acronis Disk Management... In fact when I try to backup my computer (in Disks/Volumes mode) Acronis see a disk of 8TB capacity AND my GPT Volume (Label= Videos) BUT only with 1,3TB capacity ! (see acronis.jpg attached). I think there is something wrong with FastTrak TX4650's driver and ABR10.
My serious problem is: When I try to backup my SYSTEM partition (and ONLY this!), I got a disk read errors on Disk1 from Acronis Console. This partition is on a RAID1 array, checked OK ! When I try the same operation without my FastTrak TX4650 card connected, then problem is away ! Backup completed without errors on internal drive or on tape drive ! Very strange...
Thanks for your support,
Regards,
Dimitri.

Oh my,
I which I had stumbled upon this article before.
Just two days ago I bought Advance Disk Director Server and have a Promise VTrak SAN and I'm also having read and write errors on the SAN drives; in particular with GPT volumes or over 2TB in size.
