[Resolved] Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Workstation Upgrade

Thread needs solution

The above product has stopped working for some reason. Possible due to the installation of a competitors product which has not been removed.

I have removed the above product and reinstalled it several times now and it just does not want to start.

Other info is that it is on a stand alone PC (this came about for some reason or other can't remember why but it has worked for several years)

Here is the error:-

"Error
Cannot connect to 'B7H64R1'.

Message: The system cannot find the file specified"

Anyone any ideas as to why and how to fix it.

I have searched the Acronis website to reinstate my support contract but have lost the will to live.

It’s ok just dawned on me that during the install the agent component was greyed out so would not install. I then went back to the installation programme and extracted the agent and installed that separately.

Now works.

Would still like to extend my maintenance though!

You are absolutely right, this error was caused by a missing Acronis Agent.
