Trying to do a G-F-S type b/u for the first time ,gets to 30 secs then fails

Thread needs solution

Please see log file below.
I have uninstalled and re-installed this application a couple of times. Seems to only have a problem on 1 machine ( we have 5)
This machine is xp prof sp3
We run a workgroup and the server where the backup is to go to is also on same workgroup. ( server 2008)
Read write access is good although there are a couple of issues whereas it won't let me access a shared file with credentials i supplied in the acronis app. no problems accessing windows explorer though. (username is 3 words seperated by spaces)

There are other users on the system with the similar 3 word login but judging by the error messages i dont think this is the issue

I have checked out the forums here and emptied the %temp% and done a chkdsk at reboot.

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forum. I will definitely help you with this issue.

Usually errors such as Unable to create volume snapshot or Failed to start creating the volume snapshot have to do with either errors on the hard drive or a problem with our low-level drivers responsible for disk operations.

Please provide me with the following information, alternatively you can always get in touch with our Support team with the same information in case you need immediate assistance:

1. What build is our software.

2. Please send me a private message with this report.

3. In the backup plan creation wizard, if you scroll down to Backup options and press Change, in the Volume Shadow Copy Service please disable the option to - Create snapshots using VSS (check the attached screenshot for additional information). Run the backup and let me know if it fails or not. We need to make sure that the backup either fails or runs with this option disabled.
