Unable to load Linux Kernel
Have several copies of Acronis server backup with Universal Bare Metal Recovery. Some are via SonicWALL and others pure Acronis.
Over time I have tested the backups on various PC's. All worked but none had RAID.
I now need to "migrate" from a server to another. Long story short, built new server, it died 3 days later. Took 5 year old server installed SBS2011 on 2 single HDD (not RAID). Now have origional server fixed.
Tried to install via the UBMR. kept receiving the above message, figured out (via these forums and guess work) the recovery CD is not seeing the RAID. If I break the RAID, I get further in the recovery until the system is supposed to install, at that point it does not see any of the servers hard drives (only the USB drive the backup is on).
Reading the manuals and users guides for SonicWall and Acronis, there is mention of installing the RAID drivers but I am not finding a specific set of instructions on how to do that on the bootable CD or how to interupt it and install the drivers (like the old F6 key when installing Windows).
I don't trust the old server, plus tonight I received a message that the hard drive is full. I need to get this server migrated.
Idead?

ok, how do I do that (create the WinPC based CD). I dont see the choice in the Acronis software, but I could be overlooking it.

Hello Kent and dev-anon,
Thank you for posting and I appreciate your help dev-anon.
Kent, I would recommend this detailed guide for creating WinPe media. You can find it here.
If you need additional help please let me know.
Thank you.

Yeah, I downloaded it. Problem, I have ADD, I cannot read 242 pages, really.
Here is what I did. I went to my client who has Acronis, created a boot CD and chose the add the RAID drivers, which I got off the motherboard CD. It created a 161 MB boot cd vs. the 70MB one created without. I then went to the SonicWall / Acronis customer and booted from the CD. I did not see a choice to "load RAID drivers" bit it did boot and see 3 Hard drives. The BIOS and RAID configuration had them as RAID 5.
So I attached 1 of the 3 drives seen (2 were setup as EXT somehow) and did a recovery. It showed some warnings but when I viewed the log, it was duplicates.
Unfortunantly I still cannot boot.
So I figure I need to find out how to choose "add RAID drivers" during the CD's boot and try again. At least I am further than before.

Hello Kent,
Thank you for the follow-up.
Did you get a prompt during the recovery process to use Acronis Universal Restore? It is not possible to add drivers to the regular bootable media, at the same time you can specify drivers to use with Acronis Universal Restore. Please check this quick guide for additional information.
Could you also tell what error messages do you get when your system is not booting? Is it possible to collect Acronis Report 51 from the unbootable system?
Looking forward to your reply and if you have additional questions please let me know.
Thank you.

I am in the recovery console but it (the Acronis recovery software) sees my three drives as individual drives, I need to first have it see them as the RAID 5 they are on the system BIOS. Is there a part of the boot up where I can select to make it seen that way. After the RAID 5 is created then I want to partition to "C:" and "D:" drives.
Then and only then restore the data.
I dont see this under the "recover Data" sections.
Is there an place to select this while the software is booting? I did put the drivers for the RAID volume for the Intel Motherboard on the recovery / boot CD. I just dont see where to access them.
