Universal restore question: Can Universal Restore be applied to backups created before I had UR?

Is it possible to purchase UR and apply it to an old backup created before I had UR? I`m guessing not, didnt find any responses in my search, so I just wanted to confirm my suspicions... Thx. :)

Yes it's possible. In ABR11 there is also an option to apply UR to an already restored system, without archive at all.

So worst case I have to restore the backup to a VM and then apply UR to it, if i follow you correctly?

Hi!

OK, still to double-check.

I have a complete backup disk image of the Win7 on my present older machine, made with Partition Commander v9.01.

Could I get it transferred over to a newer technology machine disk with the True Image 2013 Plus Pack Universal Restore function, in full without hassle?
