Hi,
i want to protect an Oracle database-server with acronis, but i do not want to install the complete suite on that server. is it possible only to install the creator for bootable DVD/CD and do an offline(cold) backup and restore without installing the complete software on the machine?

You may even not install anything at all and instead download .iso image of the bootable cd from you account. You will need to install bootable media builder, however, if you are forced to use WinPE-based media.
