wrong file timestamp on recovery

Thread needs solution

I have restored files using the recovery wizard but the timestamps of the restored files are the date of the recovery not the date of the file. If I look at the file in the backup (.tib) file using Windows Explorer, the timestamp is correct.

Of course, I can drag and drop the files from the backup to overwrite the restored files, but that is not supposed to be necessary.

The attachment shows the restored files (top) and the backup (.tib) listing (bottom).

What am I doing wrong?

It would appear that the factory default (at least for the version I have) is for the date/time to be set to the date/time of the restore, a somewhat bizarre default IMHO. There are two ways to change this.
1) Go to Tools/options, expand the item "Default restoration options", select "Additional Settings" and uncheck "Set current date and time for restored files".
2) When using the Restore data wizard, select "Set the options manually", then when it displays "Pre/Post commands" in the right hand column, select "Additional Settings" in the left hand column and uncheck "Set current date and time for restored files".
