Hi All,

Certainly a stupid question but before I read the entire manual, is possible to backup a virtual machine if that machine is still ONLINE (power ON)?
May be I need to install the agent for VMWARE ?

You need to have VMware tools installed inside your guest OS. It will take care of taking proper VSS-enabled snapshot when machine is on, then this snapshot (as a .vmdk file) will be read and backed up either by vmProtect Windows Agent or Virtual Appliance.

Thanks for your answer but all my VMs have the Vmware tools installed inside their OS...
My jobs work only when the VM is off if not, I receive an error message (see attachment).
