Date and time of restored file
I'm using Acronis Backup for VMware 9, on a ESXi 5.5 host with a Windows 2012 (not R2) VM.
When I restore a single file (or a group of files), all the restored files are restored with the current date/time and not the original date time.
This is a BIG problem for us. Very big.
I searched in the KB, in the forum, but I only can find solutions for other Acronis products and not for Acronis Backup for VMware.
Any suggestion ?

Hi Vasily,
I don't want to run the VM from the backup as this imposes other issues to our infrastructure. There is the possibilty to recover files directly to the network - why isn't there an option to keep the original timestamps? This seems to be a no brainer to me.

Hi,
The files/folders recovery feature in the current version is technically extracting the files data from the archive and puts this data into new file which is created anew, so therefore the "Date Created" property is not preserved. Note that the "Date modified" property can be preserved if you use "Download as .zip" option during file recovery.
In the next version of Acronis Backup we're adding an option to recover files back into original VM and so all the properties will be preserved.
Thank you.
