RDM disks Warning

Thread needs solution

After upgrading several installs from VMP8 to VMP9, we are getting this error on vm's with RDM disks.
The disks were setup as "physical" because we don't want the ESX trying to snapshot the entire SAN or iSCSI drive.
Is there a way to do this without getting the constant warning?

Log:

There are independent disks detected in the virtual machine's configuration:
[R720-R5] milkman/milkman_1.vmdk
These disks will be skipped during backup/replication. Backup/replication of such disks is possible only if the virtual machine is powered off.

Hi Jeremy,

Actually this behavior has not been changed since 8th version (it should be the same in both 8th and 9th version). There was always a warning about inability to back up specific disks (which are unsupported) inside a VM. If that's not the case, can you please send me the full log from vmProtect in a private message (this log will contain messages from both 8th and 9th version, so I will be able to track it down).

I actually don't think that hiding the information about non-backed up disk is something good. Having a warning makes more sense here.

Thank you.
