vmProtect 7 Login issue

Thread needs solution

When selecting the recovery points or a restore the system ask for a username and password (domain\username). When I enter this it hangs and just says loading and I can only close out of the authentication window but it never comes up with the list.

Nevermind, I rebooted the Acronis Virtual Machine and it logs in. Only problem, emails tell me it has been backing up successful but it has been 3 weeks according to the recovery console.

Hi Retchie,

I'd also recommended you to check the following KB article which describes the issue: http://kb.acronis.com/content/32819 . In general the 7th version of vmProtect is affected by possible appliance overfill issues (growing wcs.log + /var/log/messages). You should clean up the appliance as described in the article to prevent the failure (in your case most likely the reason is in the wcs.log) in the nearest future. Besides that I would recommended to upgrade to newer version (8th or wait until 9th is released - 9th is currently in beta: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/42675 ) where we addressed these issues.
