Accidential added machine and can't remove it anymore

Thread needs solution

Hi, we are using CyberBackup 12.5. Accidential  added whole ESXi Server. So there are some "dummy" VMs, test environoments etc, that we do not need to backup.

Added it to a backuplan with retention set to 3 month. I removed these machines in backup plan. Devices All still list these machines. I deleted all backup of 1 machine, but backup plan is still the same. Even "delete" button is missing.

What can I do now? I don't want to delete and re-create a backup plan each time. Is there a way to resolve this problem? Some information where kept in sql lite db. Will that be an option?

Hello Jon,

When you use agentless backup, all the VMs in the host will be added. There's no way to remove them. Our agent simply displays what's in the host.

The only alternative would be to install an individual agent inside each VM or delete those VMs in the host directly.

You could create an individual backup plan for each VM you want to back up and exclude those you don't want from any plan; that would be the only way.

Thanks in advance!
