Acronis Cyber Backup Standard!!!

Thread needs solution

Recently purchased a new server (sorely needed). Our old server had Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Server SBS Edition. Installed Acronis Cyber Backup Standard on the new server.

I need to replicate the backup "scheme" but I am at a loss. The old setup created a FULL backup (200GB+) and incremental (2-5GB) after that until I created a new plan. The FULL image is taken to a remote site and the incremental files are transferred via LogMeIn Hamachi (encrypted) nightly. I know I will need to use .TIB to do this. I created a backup plan, used Version 11 backup and I do get a .TIB file but I don't get the incremental files. Is there an easy way to make Acronis play nice with the TIB files like it used to? Be gentle, I'm old and slow...

Hello Eugene!

  • What backup scheme did you set?
  • Can you find the recovery point originating from an incremental backup or you just have trouble locating the incremental backup files themselves?
  • Are you using backup replication or file level operations to transfer the incrementals?

Hello Eugene,

welcome to Acronis forums!

The FULL image is taken to a remote site and the incremental files are transferred via LogMeIn Hamachi (encrypted) nightly.

Please note that it is impossible to save full and incrementals to two different backup locations within the same backup plan. For this you will need to create two backup plans with different backup locations. For example, you can select Always full backup scheme for full backups and set a Custom scheme for incrementals where a full backup still a must (however, you can set Monthly frequency and select only one or several months when this full is created).

I created a backup plan, used Version 11 backup and I do get a .TIB file but I don't get the incremental files.

Please make sure that your backup scheme is not Always incremental (single-file) which is pre-selected by default.
