Patch Management - Endpoints Without Internet Connection

Thread needs solution

Hi Team,

Our environments consist of a Domain Controller, an Application Server, a Certificate Authority Server, and multiple other servers (about 10 total VMs total per site, with over 80 sites). The main Application Server is the sole machine with outside internet access, which is also where we have Acronis installed as the management server. We use Acronis specifically for the Backup features.

However, we are now attempting to evaluate the Patch Management option for a POC (Proof of Concept), but it doesn’t appear to use the management server’s internet connection for the other endpoints when scanning for patches. Most all of our VMs are not connected to the internet (purposely designed), so we need a centralized management server serving as the hub to each. This is possible with other vendors.

Does Acronis require each endpoint having an internet connection for this feature to work? If this is possible with Acronis, could you please help us understand how to enable this?

Thanks!

Hello James,

Welcome to the forum!

In general, Acronis Cyber Protect 15 requires an internet connection to operate all its services and features. Without it, the local services won't run or function properly. Our backup solution is not compatible with an offline environment.

Feel free to update the thread if you have any questions.

Best regards!
