Notfall Stick erstellen schlägt feh:l- unable to extract WinPE files

Beim Versuch einen Notfall Stick mit TI2021 zu erstellen erscheint die Meldung "unable to extract WinPE files".

Gibt es eine Lösung?

Joachim, welcome to these public User Forums.

I would recommend doing a Repair Install of ATI 2021 in order to try to resolve the WinPE issue.

I already de-installed TI2021  and installed it again afte reboot. No success- always the same message.

Have you tried running the Clean up tool (link below) after doing the uninstall so that it does a full cleanup, including the location where the PE files are normally stored?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\WinPE\winpe_resources.dll size 96.4 MB for ATI 2021 is the PE container file.

Hi, the deinstallation was successful done by Acronis de-install.

I will look for the winpe-resources.dll

The boot-stick problem appeared at brothers computer, so it will take a time to verify.

I looked for the recommended clean-up tool. It strikes me as a very complicated procedure.

Probably too much for me  :-(

The file  "winpe-resources.dll " is present at right place. Anyway creation of a USB recue-media fails.

Think I will leave ACRONIS and change to O&O DiskImage because

-it works

- no subsription business system

- perpetual support

Joachim, when you create rescue media using the normal builder tool provided with ACPHO then a log file is created which should offer some clues as to why any issues happen?

I am sorry to tell you I gave up meanwhile.

Posting my thread i hoped for a easy solution even any correspondence would be in english. Now i see it is much more complicated then I thought. Additionally the english language does not make it easier for me.

Last not least i will use Acronis True no longer because of the new licence mode: until last year they published a new version every year. I always bought the new version include support authority and was quite satisfied. Now I would be forced to undertake an subscription. The same shit as Microsoft Office software.....
