Backup von gehackten PC auf neuen übertragen

Thread needs solution

Hallo Forum,

- gehackter PC: Lenovo ideacentre 510s Desktop I5-7400 8GB 1TB 128GB SSD WIN 10
- ein neuer steht noch nicht fest

- AcronisCyberProtecHomeOffice

Vielen Dank für alles

Hartmut

Hartmut, welcome to these public User Forums.

hello forum,

My name is Hartmut, I'm new here and I'm 72 years old. My computer knowledge is not good enough to solve my problem by myself.

My system was attacked/hacked with a hard drive attached to which I automatically back up my data.

Question: Can I restore this backup to a new PC? Or do I have to expect the worst here?

- Hacked PC: Lenovo ideacentre 510s Desktop I5-7400 8GB 1TB 128GB SSD WIN 10
- a new one has not yet been determined

Many thanks for everything

A first question: Do you know whether your backup hard drive and files were also hacked or the backup files compromised by malware, encrypted or modified?

If those backup files are good, and untouched by the hacker, then you should be able to restore your original Lenovo desktop system from them by booting the system using Acronis bootable rescue media.

One option here would be to remove the existing disk drive(s) from the desktop system and install replacement drives to restore to.  Perhaps you have family or a friend who could help you with this if needed?
