Failed to create volume snapshot

Thread needs solution

I have checked that there are no disk errors
Unable to create a system report as described in AcronisInfo Utility.

 

I cannot enter Options -> Default backup and recovery options -> Default backup options. So I cannot proceed with the following steps:

Solution
To set Microsoft VSS usage for all backup jobs, go to Options -> Default backup and recovery options -> Default backup options.
To set Microsoft VSS usage for a backup plan, create a new backup plan or open an existing backup plan for editing, then go to Plan parameters -> Backup options.

In Options window, go to Volume Shadow Copy Service section. Make sure that the option Use Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) is selected. In Snapshot provider menu select the option Software-System provider:

Not sure what you are trying to report here but as info, the VSS Service is used by Aronis and most other backup software to perform their work so if VSS is not enabled this would be considered expected behavior.

I followed these three pages to fix the problem: Failed to create volume snapshot.
What is it? You are not sure what I am reporting.

VSS is the MS Windows default service that allows a snapshot of a system state of data prior to performing a backup procedure.
