Not Enough Storage
Hi Forum
I am running latest True Image 2021.
Everything has been perfect until now. Backups fail with not enough disk space.
This is because the backup file is being created in C:\, consuming all remaining free space, 150GB out of 450GB. The destination drive set for the backup is my NAS not C:.
This looks to be the VSS snapshot. Recommendation is 10% free space on disk being backed up. No issue there with 150GB free before back up begins.
Does anyone know how to confirm what's causing this and how to best to resolve? Seems odd you need to buy a disk to waste a 30% in order to snapshot.

Thanks Steve!
Quick skim over that link suggest setting lost is the culprit. I don't recall seeing settings lost or maybe they are and GUI isnt reflecting that.
Strange though as its affecting only one of my three PCs.
I'll email Arpita.

Trevor, the issue is associated with the Acronis Managed Machine Service Mini background service which communicates with the Acronis online Dashboard.
Setting the AMMSM service to Manual along with signing out of your Acronis account on the Account page (perpetual license holders only) can prevent the issue which gets triggered from the Acronis servers!

KB 61844: Acronis True Image 2019, 2020 and 2021: How to delete old backups
For earlier versions, you should be able to delete unwanted .tib files using Explorer but for ATI 2018 you will need to turn off Acronis Active Protection to do so.
Note: if deleting any .tib / .tibx files manually, then please perform a Validation for the backup task(s) to resolve the issues that can be caused by doing this, i.e. missing versions etc.
I recommend that you and any other affected users contact Arpita Ghosh who is the new Acronis Product Manager for these home products!
