I have an weird request from my manager

I have more than backups of windows7 and had in it some apps working only on windows 7 and now my manager want to upgrade the PCS' in company but all new PCS' from dell is not support windows 7 so is there anyway to get new PC  that not support windows 7 and recover backup image in acronis that contain windows 7

Laith, if the new PC's don't support running Windows 7 then this is normally because there are no device drivers available for the hardware they contain, which is to be expected given how old Windows 7 is and how long it has it has been out of support!

The best way to get around this scenario would be to use a virtual machine to run Windows 7 with the VM being hosted in either Windows 10 or 11.

VMware Player can happily run Windows 7 VM's, as can other other applications like VirtualBox and even the Microsoft Hyper-V feature available in the Pro versions of Win 10 or 11.

It should be possible to restore a backup of Windows 7 in to a virtual machine by booting the same from an ISO image created from Acronis rescue media.
